šŸ”’ Protect your Afrus account: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) šŸ”

To safeguard your account and your donors’ data, we have implemented two-factor authentication. Follow these steps to set it up.

What is Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security method that requires two forms of verification to access your account:
1ļøāƒ£ Your usual password šŸ”‘
2ļøāƒ£ A temporary verification code generated by an authentication app šŸ“²

This prevents unauthorized access, even if someone knows your password.

šŸ“ Steps to Enable Two-Factor Authentication in Afrus

Follow these steps to activate 2FA on your Afrus account:

1ļøāƒ£ Go to Profile Settings āš™ļø

Log in to your Afrus account.

Navigate to the "Profile Settings" section.

2ļøāƒ£ Select Authentication Options šŸ”§

Within the settings, click on the last option: "Profile options".

3ļøāƒ£ Download an Authentication App šŸ“±

To generate security codes, you’ll need an authentication app on your phone.

We recommend:

  • Google Authenticator

  • Authy

  • Microsoft Authenticator

4ļøāƒ£ Scan the QR Code

Open your authentication app on your phone.

Use the ā€œScan QR Codeā€ option and point your camera at the QR code displayed on the Afrus screen.

5ļøāƒ£ Enter the Verification Code šŸ”¢

After scanning, the app will generate a 6-digit code.

Enter this code in Afrus, just below the QR code.

6ļøāƒ£ Confirm Setup āœ…

Click the blue button on the right to confirm activation.

7ļøāƒ£ You’re All Set! šŸŽ‰

From now on, every time you log in to Afrus, you will need to open your authentication app and enter the 6-digit code it generates.

šŸ”Ž Conclusion

Each Afrus user must enable two-factor authentication, as this setting is individual and mandatory to ensure the security of the entire platform.

It’s a quick and simple process, but essential to protect your information and your donors’ data.

Don’t wait—set it up now! šŸš€
