What is Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security method that requires two forms of verification to access your account:
1️⃣ Your usual password 🔑
2️⃣ A temporary verification code generated by an authentication app 📲

This prevents unauthorized access, even if someone knows your password.

📝 Steps to Enable Two-Factor Authentication in Afrus

Follow these steps to activate 2FA on your Afrus account:

1️⃣ Go to Profile Settings ⚙️

Log in to your Afrus account.

Navigate to the "Profile Settings" section.

2️⃣ Select Authentication Options 🔧

Within the settings, click on the last option: "Profile options".

3️⃣ Download an Authentication App 📱

To generate security codes, you’ll need an authentication app on your phone.

We recommend:

  • Google Authenticator

  • Authy

  • Microsoft Authenticator

4️⃣ Scan the QR Code

Open your authentication app on your phone.

Use the “Scan QR Code” option and point your camera at the QR code displayed on the Afrus screen.

5️⃣ Enter the Verification Code 🔢

After scanning, the app will generate a 6-digit code.

Enter this code in Afrus, just below the QR code.

6️⃣ Confirm Setup ✅

Click the blue button on the right to confirm activation.

7️⃣ You’re All Set! 🎉

From now on, every time you log in to Afrus, you will need to open your authentication app and enter the 6-digit code it generates.

🔎 Conclusion

Each Afrus user must enable two-factor authentication, as this setting is individual and mandatory to ensure the security of the entire platform.

It’s a quick and simple process, but essential to protect your information and your donors’ data.

Don’t wait—set it up now! 🚀
