In fundraising, knowing your donors and contacts is just as important as attracting new ones. With the People section in Afrus, you have a powerful tool in your hands to efficiently manage your database, segment your audience, and strengthen your relationship with each user. Below, we’ll show you everything you need to know to make the most of it.

How to Access the People Section?

📍 Quick and Strategic Access: From the main menu, click on "People" to view all the key information about your contacts in one place. All the information is presented in a structured way, allowing you to navigate and manage data easily.

How to Quickly Find the Users You Need?

The filters in the People section of Afrus help you find and organize your contacts quickly and efficiently. You can search by name, tags, dates, campaigns, and more. These filters make managing your database faster, smarter, and more strategic.

Filters: Customize Your Search Like Never Before

Date Filter:

Narrow your search to a specific time range to identify relevant patterns or trends.

Search Bar:

Enter keywords to immediately locate specific users. This filter includes advanced options that appear when clicked, allowing you to categorize by tags or specific conditions.

Create People in Seconds!

With the "Create Person" button (highlighted in red).

you can efficiently add new users. This process includes:

  1. Basic Information:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Country

  • Document Number

  1. Additional Options:

  • More Information: A dropdown menu to add complementary details like addresses or important notes.

  • Tags: Classify and organize your users by specific categories, making segmentation easier.

  • Custom Information: Adapt the data based on your organization’s unique needs, with custom fields enabled from the right-side dropdown menu.

Action Tools: Full Control Over Your Database

  • Export: Generate reports in XLSX or CSV formats to manage information outside the platform.

    • Choose the desired format to fit your analysis tools.

  • Mass Actions: Select multiple users to assign tags, move to specific categories, or delete with a single click.

What Information Can You See in Each User Profile?

By clicking on any person's ID, you access a detailed window that includes:

  1. Complete User Information: All registered data is presented clearly and structurally.

  2. Contact Options:

    • Send Emails: Send an email directly from the platform to the user using predefined templates, which streamlines communication with users.

    • Direct Messages and WhatsApp: Send direct messages or via WhatsApp. Note: To use this feature, you must first link a WhatsApp line; refer to the WhatsApp setup how-to.

    • WhatsApp Line Selection: Once the line is linked, you can select the account from which the message will be sent and communicate with the donor immediately.

    • Sending Messages to Email: You can also send messages that will be delivered directly to the donor's email, ensuring they receive the information effectively.

    • Edit Opt In

      OPT-IN is a term primarily used in marketing, sales, and data management. It refers to the process by which a person gives explicit consent to receive communications, participate in a program, or allow the use of their personal data.

Importance of OPT-IN:

  • Legal Compliance: It is essential to comply with data protection laws, such as the GDPR in Europe or the Habeas Data Law in Colombia.

  • Better Database Quality: Ensures that people are genuinely interested in the content, improving the effectiveness of campaigns.

  • Reputation Protection: Reduces the risk of emails being marked as spam and enhances relationships with users. (English)

Delete User: Ideal for keeping your database clean and up to date. Use the button on the far right.

Apart from user communications, we have new ways to view information:

Contact, Transactions, Subscriptions, Reminders, and Events:

  1. Transactions: Check the donor's transaction history, allowing you to track their contributions in detail.

  2. Subscriptions: Access information about the donor's active subscriptions and their current status.

  3. Reminders: Create and manage personalized reminders to maintain effective donor follow-up.

  4. Events: View a complete record of activities related to the donor, including emails sent, transactions, messages, and more.
